March 2015 – Dedication

A formal dedication ceremony was held in the field – to the new clinic on March 1, 2015. Gideon Robi, a long-time friend of Peter’s, came to be the Master of Ceremonies. The service included speeches from people in the community, representatives from the U.S. Board of Directors, and people who have known and supported Peter for many years. Peter also had the opportunity to play his trumpet, accompanied by one of our team members with a guitar. Prayer time was held outside of the actual clinic building and was led by Pastor Samuel Chau. Those attending were then invited in to see the new space, which generated a great deal of excitement in the community. Greeting people as they first entered the building was a canvas portrait of Kenneth Benjamin, for whom the facility is named. More than a few tears were shed that day, as many were overwhelmed with gratitude, with joy, with the fullness of how necessary a facility like this is in this community. And so we thanked God and dedicated this facility to His use.
